Construction Site Considerations

There are several things to keep in mind with your construction site:

1. Ensure that all trash and debris are properly discarded. There should not be anything leaving the site and entering other properties. The Building Official reserves the right to discontinue inspections until a construction site is cleaned-up.

2. Ensure that all erosion control measures are properly installed and maintained. Soils should not be leaving the job site and entering adjacent properties or water bodies. The Building Official reserves the right to discontinue inspections until all erosion control measures are installed and/or properly maintained.

3. Ensure that the physical address of the construction site is visible from the road. The Office of Building Safety maintains records according to street address. Any inspection missed because the street number was not visible from the road will require the permit holder to engage the services of a third-party inspector to conduct the missed inspection.

4. It is recommended that construction sites set up an enclosed job board for the placement of the permit, inspection slips, and any other written communication.
