NEWMARKET ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT SITE WALK

NOVEMBER 16, 2013

MINUTES

Present:           Wayne Rosa (Vice Chairman), Richard Shelton (ZBA), Bob Daigle (ZBA), William Pothier (Applicant), Scott Hogan (Applicant’s Attorney), Abutters Alice Gianni, Michael Smith, Rick Martineau, Anita Gordon

Called to order:           9:06 a.m.

Adjourned:                  9:20 a.m.

            Wayne Rosa read an email from the Zoning Office advising due to a procedural error, no public hearing could be held at this site walk.  It is a meeting of the Board members to view the site.  No discussions could be held.

            Attorney Scott Hogan went over the layout of the building.  The walls were temporarily framed to show the proposed “bump in” areas.

            The Zoning Board observed the sluiceway beneath the building and the PVC sewer.

            Abutter Rick Martineau asked the applicant if there were any provisions for decks.  There were signs that a deck may be attached at some point.  Mr. Pothier stated there were no provisions for a deck at this time.

            Abutter Alice Gianni asked if the windows showed on the plans.  There was no recollection of whether the windows were shown on the renderings. 

            The question was asked whether there had been any backfill on the Bryant Rock side.  Mr. Pothier stated there was no backfill.

            Attorney Hogan asked about the sluiceway drainage.  It was stated that it drains from the Dame Road and Pulaski Drive areas.

                        Motion:           Bob Daigle made a motion to adjourn at 9:20 a.m.
