Town Manager announces Tax Rate Set at $26.36

An increase of ninety cents over the Previous Year. The town decreased seventeen cents and the school increased $1.12.

Newmarket Town Manager Steve Fournier announced today that the State of New Hampshire Department of Revenue Administration (DRA) has set the Property Tax Rate for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2022 for the Town of Newmarket. The Tax Rate is $26.36, an increase of ninety cents per thousand of assessed valuation or 3.5%.

In comparison to FY2021, the FY2022 Town portion of the Tax Rate decreased by 2.8%, the combined School and State Education Rates increased by 4.6% (+6.8% for Local School, and -2.9% for State Education), and the County portion increased 1.1%.
