PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE

The Town Council is seeking members to the newly established Public Transportation Advisory Committee.

 

 

The Newmarket Town Council has created a Public Transportation Advisory Committee and is seeking members to serve on the Committee.

The Committee shall consist of five members. One of the five members shall be a member of the Town Council.

Members shall be appointed for three years. The first term expiring in April 2027.

The Committee is charged to study, consider and recommend to the Town Council and the Town Manager general policies concerning town-wide traffic and transportation systems including long-range multi-modal transportation planning, bicycle and pedestrian facility planning as well as public transportation services. The Committee will also develop and make recommendations to the Town Council and/or Planning Board and shall study and prepare reports to aid in the development, implementation and general improvement of the Master Plan relating to transportation in the Town of Newmarket.

If you are interested please fill out the Board/Committee application form and return it to Wendy Chase wchase@newmarketnh.gov.  Applicants must be Newmarket Residents, US Citizens and Registered voters. The Town Council appoints all members.  Council meetings are held first and third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM in the Council Chambers.
