PUBLIC NOTICE - HYDRANT FLUSHING  

Beginning April 23, 2024

Environmental Services personnel will be flushing hydrants in Newmarket, beginning April 23, 2024, as part of required routine maintenance to remove sediment from water distribution pipes. This process maintains water quality, clarity, and checks water pressure. Flushing will be completed during daytime hours.

Water customers may experience low water pressure or discolored water when hydrant flushing occurs in their area. If discoloration occurs, customers are advised to run their tap water on cold until the water runs clear. Residents should avoid doing laundry during scheduled flushing times. Your patience and cooperation regarding this routine system maintenance is appreciated.
