The Newmarket Town Council is seeking applications from Town residents interested in serving on the Town Council.  One seat has become available with the term of this seat expiring in March 2023.  At the March 2021 municipal election, this seat will be noticed as a two-year term.

The qualifications to serve are; you must be 18 years of age, a citizen of the United States and shall have resided within the Town continuously for a period of not less than 180 days immediately preceding the date of filing.

The Council meets regularly on the first and third Wednesday of each month beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Town Council Chambers and at such other times as may be requested by the Town Manager or Council Chair.

Letters of interest, with any relevant experience, must be filed with the Town Clerk - Tax Collector no later than 12:00 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2020.  The letter should state the candidate’s qualifications and why they are interested in serving on the Council.  The Town Council will meet with and select an applicant who will serve until the next regular Town election in March 2021 at its regularly scheduled meeting on August 5, 2020.
