The annual "Stuff A Cruiser" was a big success! Thank you to everyone who helped out, donated food or time, or brought gifts!!
There's still a chance for you to get involved. We will still accept new unwrapped gifts at the Police Station until December 22, 2009. These gifts go directly to families and children in the Newmarket community.

The Newmarket Police Department would like to remind all boaters that the Lamprey River from the town landing off of Water Street, until you reach the entrance to Great Bay is a NO WAKE ZONE. As stated in New Hampshire boating regulation section 270-D:2, any vessels operating on water shall be operated at headway speed only when within 150 feet of
1. Rafts, Floats, Swimmers, permitted swimming areas
2. Shore, Docks, Mooring Fields and other Vessels

Any persons found violating this No Wake Zone statute may face prosecution. Law Enforcement will be strictly enforcing this area of the Lamprey River. Thanks for your cooperation.
The Town of Newmarket has added an additional municipal parking lot on Railroad Street. There are seven permit parking spots at this location a well as four daytime parking spots. If you are interested in purchasing a parking permit for this location of the municipal parking lot on Elm Street they can be bought at the Newmarket Police Department. The costs for an overnight permit is $5.00 per night. For a monthly permit the cost is $40.00 per month. The parking permits are issued on a first come first serve basis. You need to fill out a Parking Permit Application to apply.
All parking tickets can be paid by sending them in through the mail or by placing them in the drop box at Newmarket Police Department 24 hours a day. If using the drop box at the Police Department it must be the exact amount. NO CHANGE WILL BE MADE BY DISPATCH. Check out our links to the left!
