Minutes of August 21, 2008

Meeting was called to order at 7:02

A motion to approve the Minutes of the July 10 and 24 was made by Judy Ryan and seconded by Rose Anne Kwaks. Its was unanimously approved.

Present: Phil LePage, Judy Ryan, Rose-Anne Kwaks, Forbes Getchell, Rich Alperin

Excused:  Dana Glennon, Ranan Cohen

Guests:  Charles Kwaks, Bob Turcotte, Michael Dowling, Ethel McIntosh

Phil LePage reported on the proposal to repair the Town Clock. Estimated cost is $40,000  source of funding is in question.  TIF funds could be considered or a warrant article item in May.

Rose-Anne is pursing clarification on a demolition ordinance and will be meeting with FX Bruton.  The ordinance should be applied town wise not just with in the Historic district.

Historic district items:  the sub committee continues to review the draft.  The goal is to finalize the changes for the September commission meeting. A package to the Town Council will be a draft of the ordinance, map and guidelines. 

Judy and Phil will meet with Diane Hardy to clarify the process for adoption.
